Welcome to the Tusker VGOA little history and details of this year's event

The Vanuatu Golf Open is played annually at The Port Vila Golf and Country Club.

The event attracts professionals and Amateurs from many South Pacific Countries including, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands.

The VGO is now a significant event on the South Pacific Golfing calendar with the NSWPGA backing and professionals able to gain order of merit points for the PGA in Australia.

Air Vanuatu provides Golf Club Concessions for VGO entrants

Air Vanuatu Sales Manager Floyd Smith has loaded a special golf club allowance for international guests travelling to this year's open of 7kg free When checking in baggage players should mention they are travelling to Vanuatu Golf Open.

 

"Dates for VGO 2012 have been confirmed Tuesday 14th August to Sunday 19th August 2012”

Keen amateur golfers descend on Port Vila each year to participate in the event and join with the professionals for a week of golf and social interaction which has become legendary.

Nightly functions and entertainment make for a great week and many of the visitors to Vanuatu for this unique event return each year. Fields have to be limited so it is very worthwhile making your plans early for the VGO.

Entries Roll in
Over 50 entries have already been registered for the Vanuatu Golf Open 2012. The organising committee have urged intending entrants to get in early.
For the locals intending to enter there is an early bird offer to take advantage of. Residents who register and pay prior to the 30th June will have the opportunity to win a free entry to the 2013 event should they go on to win their respective grade overall
